Your Target Audience
Many start-up companies think that their target online audience is, basically, everyone with a credit card. In reality, nothing can be further from the truth. This approach and (very often) absence of any kind of online viral marketing strategy leads to zero sales and rapid stagnation. One has to notice that there are lots of competitors offering similar products on the Internet.

Target audience isn't everyone who would like to buy your products and services online, it is the people your business manages to reach effectively and convince to take action.
