We could not agree on some issues as each of us witnessed his own results within the period of web experimentation and testing. I was searching for answers and I think the best one is provided by Avinash Kaushik. After analyzing numerous websites, he provides us with 11 digital marketing “crimes against humanity”. Here they are:
- Not spending 15% of your Marketing budget, every month, on experimenting with new techniques / channels / ideas.
- Not having a fast, functional, incredible mobile-friendly website.
- Gratuitous use of Flash.
- Writing campaigns your website can’t cash.
- Not having a vibrant, engaging, non-pimpy blog.
- “Shouting” on Twitter / Facebook.
- Your SEO strategy is buying links, expired domains, et. al.
- Not following the “10/90 rule for magnificent web success.
- Doing anything on the web without a Web Analytics Measurement Model.
